This half term, our topic is called:
Dangers and Delights of the sea.

In Upper Key Stage 2, we are using this half term to learn about the dangers and delights of the sea. We will be covering a range of different skills in all subject areas.

Important information

Don’t forget that our Forest School sessions are every Tuesday morning, so be prepared with layers for our chilly weather!
We also have PE every Monday and Friday, so make sure that you have appropriate kit with you each week as we like to keep our PE outside as much as possible.

Remembrance Day 2021

Falcons have worked hard on writing poems and information for this Remembrance Day video. Take the time to watch it and listen carefully to the wonderful vocabulary we have used in our writing.

Welcome back to school for the new year!

At Upper Arley, we are all excited to welcome you back to school this year.

Yes, you will see some changes, these include:

  • using your own equipment (all labelled and just for you)
  • your own space to work at each day
  • regular hand washing trips to make sure your hands are clean!
  • sanitiser is available in the classroom if you want to use it
  • separate play areas…and more.

It may be a strange time but we are all in this together and we will become our own team this year.

Our classroom is all set and ready for you to use. The seats and tables are all facing forward to help keep you safe.

Let’s get this 2020-2021 year started!

Welcome to Falcons

We are the oldest children as a class of mixed Year 5 and 6 children. We enjoy a fantastically rich and broad curriculum offering a formal learning environment supporting our key competencies and values and driving forward independence and co-operation. Our curriculum supports both the application of skills learned in Lower KS2 and also new skills essential for our transition to secondary school. Through a varied subject led topic approach, we focus on the arts, humanities, technology and personal and social development. As the oldest children in the school, we also take on additional responsibilities. We are a great team.
